etckeeping git

Working with multiple upstream kernel trees and keeping an eye on more my git repositories tend to end up with large numbers of remotes (this laptop has 22, for example). It’s getting to the point where I need something like etckeeper to keep track of them all.

    1. Yeah, I’ve seen that too – it’s not what I want. The issue is keeping the list of remotes in sync on multiple git repositories. The actual working with remotes thing is already handled very well by git, at least for my use cases.

  1. I see. So you have kernel repositories on several machines, and each has remotes for various upstream kernel repositories, and you want to keep the remotes in sync across all your own repositories? Hmmmm.
